New York Knicks 98, Memphis Grizzlies 94
December 26, 2003
The amazing point guard play of Frank Williams should either get him in the starting lineup or at least the confirmed sixth man in Don Chaney’s lineup. When the Knicks’ offense stalled, Frank came in and penetrated to the basket or pushed the team offensively. Williams finished with 19 points and 6 assists.

The Knicks were impressive early on. Howard Eisley got the offense out quickly and efficiently as New York got out on the young Grizzlies early and led by six after the first quarter.
The second quarter for the Knicks was likewise impressive as the bench came in a controlled the tempo. Offensively, Keith Van Horn, the only starter on the floor, carried the team and the Knicks withstood the Grizzlies' run to finish the half leading by a score of 54-43. New York then extended the lead in the third quarter by pushing it up to 19 points before Memphis came out on fire defensively. Eight Knick turnovers helped the Grizzlies cut the Knick lead down to nine.
James Posey helped power Memphis back with nine quick points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough as the Knicks held on for the win. Pau Gasol led Memphis with 20 and Jason Williams added 18 points and 7 assists.
